Help! - Treasury too small / Half of club delinquent in dues (that's why no ride credit until dues paid)
Female membership on the rise - 8 new girls pay dues;
BPM's were somewhat "frivolous" on West Bank last year - business owners down on bikers
Suggestion to use 'standard exit' route out of Triangle bar / Riding the St. Croix Valley area
Marriages and babies - Club members getting together / North Shore trip planned
The group is called 'University Motorcycle Club' at this time - a social group (see 1970No6)

Newsletter delayed because of Bill Franklin's broken right hand
Death of Jim Barnum - one of the original charter members and very active recruiter
Ride departure times restated - Sat noon, Wed 6pm "These must never be changed"
72 paid members, In good shape with $300 in red (I think he meant 'in the black')
Bigger bikes being bought; Hog is stolen; Public drinking gets one arrested
Rules for tandem riding - On curves inside rider goes first and other rules
Ross Kiihn collides with car; couple other bikers dump bikes at various times
Group riding must be controlled and disciplined or serious accidents will occur
WBMC gets concession booth during UofM welcome week
Recruit more girls - they seem to be disappearing  [everyone asks "Where's Pervert?"]

President role will be dropped in favor of 'multiple executive' setup
This marks the start of Executives, Road Captains and 20 Riders 'steering' of the WBMC
Group Leaders on the list include Ross Kiihn - still a member as of 2007
Rain dates suggested/put into effect - If it rains on Wed - Ride Thu;  Rain Sat - Ride Sun
Club emblem selected (cloth backpatch)
Membership rates raised from $1 to $5 for 1971 - Includes backpatch and newsletter

Many newsletters were not easily readable even on the originals - scanning does not improve quality.
Most files are 500Kb or less with a few 1-2Mb. 1973 Aug, Sep, Oct are color and 4Mb or so.
