This document contain a 'summary' of West Bank Motorcycle Club Newsletters.
This is the work of one inept person trying to get some of the history saved.
I'm sure there will be numerous errors (mostly minor) in spelling and facts - give it time to evolve.

  Newsletter delayed - Bill Franklin has broken right hand
  Death of Jim Barnum - one of the original charter members, active recruiter
  Ride departure times restated - Sat noon, Wed 6pm "These must never be changed"
  72 paid members, In good shape with $300 in red (meant black)
  Bigger bikes being bought; Hog is stolen; Public drinking gets one arrested
  Rules for tandum riding - On curves inside rider goes first
  Ross Kiihn colides with car; couple other bikers dump bikes
  Group riding must be controlled and disciplined or serious accidents will occur
  WBMC gets concession booth during UofM welcome week
  Recruiting of more girls since the seem to be disappearing (?)

  Final newsletter of 1970 - Dues $5 for 1971
  President role will be dropped in favor of 'multiple executive' setup
  This marks the start of Road Captains and 20 Riders steering the WBMC
  Group Leaders on the list include Ross Kiihn - still a member as of 2007
  **'University Motorcycle Club' will be renamed 'West Bank Motorcycle Club' for 1971
  Rain dates put into effect - If rain on Wed - Ride on Thur, etc
  Club emblem selected (cloth back patch)
  Membership rates raised from $1 to $5 - Includes back patch and newsletter
