Club Events
Annual Meetings: There will be two annual meetings. The 20 ride/Road Captain meeting and the General membership meeting. Both to be held in the spring with the 20 Ride/RC meeting occurring about 4 weeks before the first ride and the General Membership meeting the next week.
20 Ride/RC Meeting: The 20 Ride members and Road Captains are the governing body of the WBMC. They propose any changes that may be needed at the 20 ride/RC meetings. If they decide something should be changed it must be brought to the attention of the general members at the general membership meeting for a vote. If the 20 ride/RC's decide something will not change then there will be no further action taken. Club Officers will be nominated at this meeting.
General Membership meeting: Everyone that is a paid member is urged to attend this meeting. Officers will be elected at this meeting. Any changes to the club that was brought up for a vote at the 20 ride/RC meeting will be voted on at this meeting. Dues will start to be collected for the current year. Ride schedules will be made out and the First Ride Pot Luck will be discussed.
First Ride Pot Luck: The first Ride Pot Luck is on the last Saturday in April. The WBMC will provide the portable toilet. This a traditional pot luck lunch, with members bringing a dish to pass. The host will either make maps and be a Road Captain or ask someone to help him/her with it.
Mid Summer Family Camp-out: This is an optional event! That will happen if we are invited to a location were camping is permitted. This is also a traditional pot luck event. This is the only Ride that you will receive a ride credit for if you show up on 4 or more wheels. Traditionally this event is sponsored by the WBMC at 5 year intervals i.e. 30-35-40 year anniversaries (from 1969). The WBMC will supply the main dish with members & guests bringing a dish to pass.
Year End Awards Banquet: This is normally held on the first Saturday in October. At least one week after the last ride. This is a pot luck with the WBMC supplying the main coarse, and the members and guests bringing a dish to pass. A portable toilet will be provided by the club. The club will also provide utensils, plates, salt & pepper. At this event the trophies and patches will be awarded. Door prizes that have been donated by sponsors will be awarded to the members by way of a 'ticket drawing'. You must be a current member and be present to win door prizes. Non-members attending will be charged an amount to be determined at the 20 Ride/RC’s meetings.
Weekly Rides: The official club rides start on the last Saturday in April and continue twice weekly through the end of September. Wednesday rides leave at about 6:30 PM and Saturday rides leave at about Noon. All rides will leave from Whiskey Junction. If you arrive late then look in Whiskey Junction on the window shelve for maps - please leave the last map or two for the next rider that is also late. There will also be a map posted on the bulletin board at the entrance by the MAC's Pizza window. Keep your ears open as there are also may riders that will be happy to have you tag along on Sunday rides. Some are also able to cruise around during the weekdays.
